  • Royal Dutch Shell pays $4.7 billion to buy privately held East Resources Inc, giving it more exposure to promising shale gas reserves in North America.

The Nigerian Association of Petroleum Explorationists invites you to participate in her Continuing Education School this week from Monday 26th to Friday 30th July, 2010 at the Peninsula Resorts, Lekki, Lagos - Nigeria. The course title is "Understanding the Economics and Fiscal Provisions in the Petroleum Industry Bill". The course facilitator is Professor Wumi Iledare, the Director of the Center for Energy Studies, Louisiana State University, USA.

Topic was "Reservoir Development on the Distal Basin Floor - Process Controls and Implications for Exploration" and the Speaker was Tim Garfield, from ExxonMobil Exploration Company, Houston TX, USA.
