Lagos June Technical/Business Meeting

This is to formally inform and invite you to attend the upcoming NAPE June 2026 Technical/Business Meeting scheduled as follows:
Theme: Geomorphology and Evolution of a Pleistocene Submarine Channel-Levee Complex in Deepwater Nigeria: Implications for Reservoir Modeling and Field Development Strategy.
Speaker: Busari Mumini Olanrewaju, PhD, Earth Scientist.
Chairman: Dr. Wilson Edet Osung, FNAPE, Assistant Director, Training, PTI.
Date: Wednesday, 24 June 2026.
Time: 11:00 AM WAT
Venue: Lantana Hall, Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.
This session will examine the geomorphology, internal structure, and evolution of a submarine channel-levee complex in Deepwater Nigeria using high-resolution and semi-regional 3D seismic data. The presentation will highlight integrated seismic stratigraphic and geomorphological approaches applied in reconstructing channel morphology, sedimentary infill, spatial evolution, and architectural framework within deepwater depositional systems.
The discussion will further provide insights into reservoir heterogeneity delineation, seismic facies interpretation, channel evolution patterns, structural influences on depositional architecture, and the application of geological modeling in supporting reservoir characterization and field development strategies across deepwater environments.
Participants will gain valuable understanding of submarine channel-levee systems, depositional processes, and the integration of subsurface datasets for improved exploration and development decision-making.
